HOW do i OBTAIN A LIBRARY CARD?
We will need to see a picture ID and proof of your current address. A driver's license will cover both unless your address on the license is not correct, then you will need to bring in something with your current address. Children can get a card after they turn 7, but will have to have a parental signature.

I WOULD LIKE TO USE A COMPUTER.
Right now we have 2 computers that are available and are set to 30 minutes. If you need more time, please let the librarians know and we can extend it for you. Anyone over 18 is allowed to use the computer even without a library card. If they are 10-18, you will need a library card and permission by their guardian. If they are 9 and younger, they have to be accompanied by an adult.
WHAT DOES FINE FREE MEAN?
Fine Free means that if the materials are returned late, you will not be charged a fee until the item is considered lost in our system. You will be charged a $5 processing fee and the price of the item will be charged to your account if you do not return it within 3 weeks of a books due date and 7 days of the DVD's due date. You will not be able to check out any materials from any library until you pay the processing fee and return or pay for the item. Here is more information about being Fine Free.
HOW DO I LOG IN TO RSACAT?
If it is your first time signing in, you will need to put your library card number and your password will be changeme. After that it will be your library card number and the password you changed it to.
WHAT CAN YOU DO ON THE RSACAT APP?
You can search for books at any library within the our RAILS system, place holds, renew items and check your account!
HOW WILL I GET NOTIFIED ABOUT A BOOK ON HOLD OR OVERDUE?
When a book is ready for you to pick up, we will email you or call you if we do not have an email on your account. You can also sign up to receive text messages through SHOUTBOMB. Your item(s) will be available to pick up in the entryway when we are open. If you have items overdue, we will call you to remind you to return them. After a month of not getting the book or 2 weeks for a DVD, you will get a $5 service fee and your account will be blocked. You will not be able to check out anything until the service fee is paid and the item is brought back or paid for.
MY LIBRARY CARD EXPIRED OR IS LOST!
If your library card is expired, you can come inside and we will renew your privilege's for 3 more years. If your address or phone number has changed, please let us know so we can update our system. If you loss your card and want to replace it, there will be a $1 fee for the new card.
HOW DO I GET A BOOK THAT IS NOT AT ANY LIBRARY?
If there is an item you would like to check out and it’s not available at ours or other libraries, we can look have a librarian look through alternative platforms that is not available in our system.
HOW DO I RESERVE A ROOM?
The library allows civic and nonprofit groups in the community to use three of its rooms for their own purposes. Reserve the Friends of the Library Study Room for a small group that needs a quiet place to meet. Reserve the Heartland Bank and Drake Family Community Room for a large group meeting. The Activity Room can be reserved for small parties where food will be served, but is only available during library hours. We have the right to deny any reservations if they are not nonprofit or community meetings. If you would like to reserve any of these rooms, please call us at 309-527-4360.
